Georgian food in Vancouver, cooked the way a Georgian mother does it
Deda means “mother” in Georgian. We are a Georgian home kitchen in Vancouver, British Columbia, opening first as a commissary kitchen: khachapuri, khinkali and the slow Sunday dishes of a Georgian family, delivered, catered and served at pop-ups across Metro Vancouver.

Coming at launchWhat Georgian food is
Georgian cooking sits between Europe and Asia: fresh bread from the oven, cheese, walnuts, pomegranate, and more fresh herbs than most kitchens use in a week. Coriander, tarragon, dill and blue fenugreek go into almost everything.
The table is called a supra, and it is never small. Khachapuri is the bread at the centre, khinkali are the dumplings everyone fights over, and pkhali, lobio and chakhokhbili fill the gaps. If you have been looking for a Georgian restaurant in Vancouver, Deda brings a Georgian family kitchen to the city instead.
How to eat Deda's food in Vancouver
We do not have a dining room yet, and we will not pretend we do. We cook in a commissary kitchen and bring Georgian food to you in three ways: delivery on set days, catering for family dinners, birthdays and office lunches, and pop-ups and tastings at markets around the city.
The first tasting is for the waitlist. Sign up and you will hear about every date first.
